Engineers like us have used keyboard shortcuts for years to get more work done fast. We want to bring that speed to everyone's work.
We’re a scrappy team of software engineers who’ve spent years building tools for startups. We saw firsthand how people in sales, recruiting, marketing, etc. were constantly in and out of multiple apps just to get simple tasks done — and losing valuable time in the process. Founders Ben Standefer and Tom Uebel set out with one conviction: having the fastest tools can make a massive impact on productivity and deliver huge ROI. Our goal is to make these tools, starting with Command E.
Today, the information and data you need to do business is scattered across 20+ clouds: Salesforce, Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Slack, Airtable, FullStory, JIRA, GitHub, Heroku, Google Analytics, Quip, MailChimp, WordPress, Looker, Metabase, Trello, Typeform, Dropbox, Namely, and in-house systems.
None of these represent a single source of truth, and many trap data behind slow interfaces. We saw the same challenges at all the startups we worked at before, including Urban Airship, SimpleGeo, Eventbrite, UniversityNow, and Digg.
Command E makes everything you need in the cloud immediately accessible from one minimalist search bar — tucked neatly into your existing workflow. This was the need we saw, and the solution we’re excited to build.
